Description

There's a big statue in the heart of Liverpool, hidden in a big yard and surrounded by buildings. It's powerful and at least to me it is very touching in many ways. It's 4 or 5 men sitting in different poses (one of them is in the photo above), chained to something in the middle that I can't for the life of me remember what it is...and their expression is pain and suffering. Robin told me that they are a symbol for the slaves that Britain used to have a long time ago, and that makes sense. The captivity and the pain is very obvious and while we walked around that yard and took photos I wondered in what state of mind the artist who made these was at the time. Must have been very draining. Other than digging in old archives, my doing's lately can be seen here. It's not a lot, but that suits me just fine right now. And take it easy before the holidas. Christmas doesn't necessarily have to be about expensive gifts and all that. The best things are usually what you can give without entering a store ;) Take care and be good :)

What a bold statement is made here! An image you are compelled not to walk away from without thoughts being provoked. Very effective in the mono colour.
