Description

This is a test render in TG2TP with trees and a low line of cloud at the base of the Grampians. Compare this with the other render from this location which also includes a reference photo (with low cloud). Still a lot of work to do but it's looking promising.

Xlt distribution of trees, lovely wide view! IMHO you should break up the green (grass) some more with some darker/bumpier layers esp. on the left. Keep up the xlt work!

Great work! Surface colours look (on this monitor) too bright & garish, but excellent image!

What fascinates me is how you have so selectively placed the trees. How do you do that?

This is great! Awsome composition, I honestly think this could be perfect if you fix a few things. Namely the grass, mostly on the left side, as it is a bit too bright, and maybe make the sky and the clouds brighter. Render it bigger also, this is one of my terragen 2 favourites, i hope to see it progress further :)

The grass is too bright but I was mainly checking the tree distribution. The placement of trees is controlled by a mask image craeted from a stallite image. The placement of trees should be relatively realistic. I'll be reworking the mask to more accurately reflect the spacing between the trees in my original satellite reference image. I have additional masks for grass as well (dry grass and green grass) which will simulate some of the paddocks, but there are some siginificant differences with TG2 that require a slightly different approach so I'll eventually have to redo my masks.
