Had a few last minute revisions (10th revision) to the Odyssey for those of you who saw the earlier version. Different engines, slightly more reflective material and some post effects for lighting and diffusion courtesy of Magic Bullet and Sony Vegas 7. The Odyssey was designed for the upcoming feature film "9:04am" by MPS Digital Studios. The lead characters, "Amanda" and "Justin," work for the production company responsible for producing "Intergalactic Odyssey." Amanda's sister, Billie (also one of the main characters in the film), is obsessed with Mark Lang who is Captain John Singer's genius son aboard the Odyssey (think wesley crusher... only dumberer with a bad attitude similar to a young William Shatner as Kirk). So more or less, a romantic sci-fi comedy about the difficulties of life, love, happiness and the fine line between fantasy and reality. Now for the details you might actually care about... the ship was designed in Bryce 5.5 (and recently introduced into Bryce 6). 90% of the ship was composed with nothing more than those funny little metaballs. Everything was designed in bryce... all the way down to the texturing. If you want more specific details, just ask! Also, special thanks to Bazze for those "cool" asteroids. Unfortunately, they don't do me much good in the animated scenes in the movie. I guess I'll have to resort to spending render time on asteroids... ugh... as if this doean't take long enough to render in HD (1920x1080x64rpp at 24fps). I'll have clips posted at some point in the future.
