Ahh, the bittersweet memories. I used to have a wolfhound, but he only lived to be about a year old. I wasn't sure what killed him until later when I heard rumors that a litter had been born, and all but one were dead ... suggesting to me that whatever mine had died of, it was most likely genetic. But what a wonder dog, with a wonderful disposition. And those memories are still sweet.

I've had 3 Wolfhounds, my female was the best dog I've ever had the pleasure of being owned by. I miss her something fierce. Seeing these two brings back so many memories. :D
