Description

AloooooooHa! Been a little busy lately with the holidays and all...hope everyone had a grand Christmas, and are looking fwd. to the New Year. Just a little fly for ya for now...chased this guy all over the garden, just loved the green metalic body on him...best seen full size. This guy is smaller than a housefly, and quite a bit more flitty...took me awhile to finally get a chance to focus in on him...but patience prevailed at last. Happy New Year to everyone, and here's hoping for some killer shots in the new year! Aloha!

Perfect macro buddy. The colorful fly on those desaturated leaves....my god what a perfect capture. Worthy of many slaps...but seeing how it is the holiday and Santa might still be watching...ill spare you the beating. #:oP Excellent work as always. I've seen your comments here and there and thought your avatar was cute, but I'd never thought to look in your gallery. Until now. Sometimes I'll see a piece of artwork that is so good, it takes me a moment to catch my breath -- one might say "shockingly good", as I have in the past. This is one such piece. This may be the single greatest photograph I've seen on this site in months. Even if every other image in your gallery was crap (and looking at the thumbnails now I see that this is far from the case) this one shot would get you a free pass into Photographer Heaven. Amen, brother.

YES! This is BEAUTIFUL ... I, too, shot one of these this past Summer.. they aren't easy to shoot; like you said, they are flitty. The metallic is truly awesome, and you did such a great job here .. and the lighting was even on your side... BEAUTIFUL macro! I wish you a happy 2007 ((HUGZ))
