Description

Taken many years ago at Blue Gum Animal Park in Sydney. This very patient mother kangaroo seems to have my youngest daughter somewhat baffled.Baby kangaroos and wallabies are called joeys, and youcan see the youngster's head protruding from mom's pouch. From memory it wanted a treat as well. There's a very old kangaroo joke, which is-- Q> Why don't kangaroos like rainy weather ? A> It means that the kids will have to play inside.

Wonderful picture! Thank you for the explanation - I would have missed the baby. Just what is the difference between kangaroos and wallabies? So nice to see this kangaroo being so friendly with young kids.

This is a wonderful shot! It's cute that both the mom and joey wanted food!
