It's a strange phenomenom, the Northern light... In fact it is very beautiful..I never saw it with my own eyes..I think your photograph gives a very good impression of what it is.

Ciao Little Andreas ;o))))) How are you my friend, after this tooooooo long separation ???? I've missed you !!!! I'm terribly happy to see this shot, and a little bit sad too..... When I gone in Lapland last february.... one of my motivation to go there was of course the Norhern lights. But I never seen one. OK I was just there for 8 days.... this one is incredible, and Eija seems to be very attract by the lights, maybe they feel something special in front of this marvel ! You're really a lucky guy to have all that arround you, you know ? and don't speak about Santa in this way !!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr !!! A fat bastard ? lol ! I wish you a magic and fantastic New Year 2007 my friend, and If I win some money... I'm going to see the Northern Lights with you !!!!!! lol. Hugsssssssssss

Once again, Top marks my friend!!! Everything is perfectly placed, esp Eija's silhouette. Superb work! Are you sure they were Aurora though?....they almost look like "noctilucent" clouds. I will have to look at your other shots to see more. Haven't had any Aurora here for some time now...mostly cloudy and when it's not, it's too damn cold!

ok first of all - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :0)) Then secondly - noooooo!!! We South Africans only see this phenomenon on television or when someone as yourself is so generous as to post it for us. So thank you thank you! Ooohhhh and then there's the added bonus of Eija's sillouette in the capture! Wowzers man! I get green of envy each time I visit your gallery :0)) Now lemme go check out the other northern lights that you probably posted on your website huh? ;0) Have a good year Andreas!

Wow, Andreas, this is really amazing! Me thinks you're looking here to another phenomenon, called noctilucent clouds. Did you Photoshop this (add contrast etc.) or is this just the way it was? Noctilucent clouds appear to be very high in the upper atmosphere, actually almost no atmosphere at all, not sure but I thought between 60 and 80 km (!) high. Congrats, impressive capture! :)
