Description

This build went a little better. Gaining some confidence with the controls. It was rendered at 1024x768. Next, I'll try a large render for more detail. This mouse navagation for setting a POV is still an issue for me. I use a programmable Kensington trackball and haven't found the setting I'm looking for. Zooming and controlling the camera height are the main problems.

Very nice sky, Bob. I am at once stuck by your (and everyone else's) perseverance with this new TG version. As I'm still waiting for my PC to be repaired so that I might also join in the fun, this period gives me time to observe how the skill level of everyone who is using TG2 are improving day on day. However, having read all the points in the Forum, I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that this programme version has about the same steep learning curve as the now venerable Mojoworld. It may be that I won't bother switching to this new version as I can produce the same fine detail with Mojo... but then again...

Lighting is fantastic! Agree with setting the camera; Making close up it's quite impossible if you plan to follow the old Terragen 0.x way. Tgd Requires a new way to work IMHO, but this could be also an advantage.

Try Mojo Bob, I think you'll like it. This looks good, but a far cry from your TG1 work!

I love that sky Bob, beautiful softness to it. The distant terrain is shown perfectly in this render. The close terrain one can see some subtle details. Beautiful surfacing (something I've had a big problem with so far) but we will all learn together :)
