Description

This is the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court found in the center of the British Museum. Very different to what one would expect from approaching the Museum from the outside (see prev panorama!). Once you walk through the main entrance this huge area opens up with light pouring in through the glass roof, modern design melded with classical design- and it works!! The impressive glass roof was designed by engineers Buro Happold and the architects Foster and Partners and is the largest covered square in Europe. In the middle of the court is the Reading Room. Dispite the various artifacts to see throughout the museum, this alone is worthy of a visit you just stare up to the sky... Original 5362x4721, 6210x4636 Used Sony Cybershot P200, PSPX, and PTGui Thank you viewing, many thanks for the comments made, More pans on the way!
