Description

Hey y'all!Happy new year! Sorry I haven't been around or commenting that much lately. It's been a bit busy here and I have been working on several projects that have been taking up most of my time. But I have been looking at what you guys have been doing and I will definately do my best to catch up as much as possible. Anyhoo...this is one of the 'things' I've been working on. I got the idea to make my own 'Gollum' while I was watching LOTR, a few weeks ago.I just had taken this shot of my brother-in-law and it seemed to lend itself perfectly to what I wanted to accomplish.( That's who 'Gollum' is here, by the way, my brother-in-law. And yes, he's seen it and he's okay with it, lol.) The entire thing was done using a single photograph ,( which you can see here: 'original photo' ,because I really think you need to see it to appreciate this. ) No other outside textures or photos were used. LOL, right now I must have at least 20 jpegs saved of each basic step in his transformation, and it would make such a cool animated GIF, I think. Maybe I'll do that one day........hmmm........Yeah, that's all I need, another 'project' when I still haven't even finished the others yet...Sigh...lol. ;^P Soooooooo anyway, here it is. I hope you like it and as always, your comments and or opinions are most welcomed and appreciated. Hope you're all having a wonderful and happy new year and thanks for dropping in! See ya!!!! Always, Marlene :^ ) PS-Sorry it's so big, but I wanted you guys to be able to see the details. Please click on it to see it at it's true size, etc. I hate to think of it only being seen compressed...ugggggh...lol. Thank you! :^ )

Wow, the guy is ok but who is the horrible character on the left? LOL, Just kidding! I had a look at the original and the tranformation is incredible while still retaining features of the forehead, brows and chin. Very creative! Start building your own family now, lol...

Daaaaaamn....this just confirms my belief that you have mad skills! If I hadn't looked at the original I would have thought you stole the image from the net. You've been holding back on your art skills....this year you have to unleash the fury...Phenomenal work here Marlene, I wouldn't even attempt this without some help...Ya blow me away!! And of course being a big LOTR fan, the title fits perfectly...Excellent!! Alooha~

Marlene, Marlene, Marlene, is there no end to your creativity and artistic talent????? After googling this for 5 minutes I finally noticed your brother-in -law...lol...Your daughter is soooo beautiful and I know where she gets it. This is really outstanding work mNYH. You transformed an ordinary b-i-l into this fabulous creature from LOTR (definitly one of my fav movies). If you would have done this last year, our RR overlords would have made you post it in mixed media or 2D, which they made me do with some of my manips. Anyhoooo, this is ( a loss of words...ahhhhhh) spectacular and that doesn't even come close to covering what you did. I would love to see the jpgs of the transformation... Wow, it only took me a half hour to write all this..lol...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! =)
