Description

Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, New York Hi all! Been a while since I've uploaded anything so I thought I'd show you where I was last weekend. Our family, went away to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th birthday. For those of you who don't know, my MIL is a bit...errrr...eccentric...to put it mildly, lol. So one of the weekend's 'activities' was to break up into two teams of 5 and construct an 'ice sled' thingy out of PVC pipe and stuff. And then we had to race the two sleds around some cones at the ice rink. Anyway, we also had to come up with a cheer for our teams...and that's where the title comes from, lol.Except in our case it was gimme a 'P', gimme and 'I', until our last name was spelled out. And that would've been okay if only my MIL didn't also stand up and do it in the dining room that night at dinner...That was a bit embarrassing...lol. Anyhoo, that's all I have to say. Hope you are all well and good and thanks for dropping in. As always, any words you care to leave about this would be most appreciated. See yaz! Marlene...with an 'M'... ;^P

First up, so nice to see you post again, was a bit worried about ya! Hope you are fairing well and in good health. Secondly, what a fun looking place to celebrate a birthday!!! Jeeez, this looks like a wonderland for a family to have a blast. Your MIL really sounds like she knows how to have fun, even if it embarrasses the rest of ya!! She may be a bit eccentric, but at 70 your allowed to not act your age...heh heh Sounds like a great time for family bonding, and having a blast doing it. Very pretty place and shot Marlene....must have cost a mint to stay there, but hell you only turn 70 once. Please take care sweetie....much Aloha to you!!

MMMarlene.... This is such a nice location shot. At first I thought it was somewhere in Europe, til I read the commentary. Your vantage point is awesome, as is the colours on the cloudy day. So nice to see you making a post. Always fun hearing about MIL

Lovely work and supporting story! Methinks you are BLESSED to have a MIL so 'free' of spirit! I operate on the assumptions that WE 'humans' are ALL a bit WACKY .... SOME of us just ADMIT to it. WINK. My best to you and yours, kind soul. ''ENJOY EVERY SANDWICH" (Warren Zevon to David Letterman just before Warren died. Dave had asked Warren what 'advice' he'd like to give the audience and the people watching"). "Never take life too seriously. NO ONE ever gets out alive". WINK. T.P./brian.
