splendid shot, this looks like what in the uk would be called a Cockchafer, but the colours seem different ? maybe this is the Australian version ?

The world is so much richer with stuff like this in it. I have no idea who or even WHAT this critter is, but the capture of details, color and...odd headgear is amazing. Who needs aliens in science fiction when you've got six legged things running around!? The clarity of this piece is stunning, and as a lover of insects I'm quite awed and impressed with your ability and willingness to capture them! Great work! Inspiring work as well!
