Description
The ring is not the sun but atmosphere. Ofcourse I was inspired by images from christianfly... Damn, I'm a copycat ;-)
You can clearly see that something is wrong with the clouds. The clouds rendered in the land part seem to be lower than the clouds rendered in the atmosphere part. A line is visible and the feel of realism gets lost. If you look carefully to other images you can see the same effect in other similar images where the clouds tuoch the air (but in a smaller scale).

i dont care that something with the clouds is wrong :D i like that pic . but maybe the ring is a bit to bright, but hell what do i know? great one :D i hope you'll be posting regulary again as you did aeons ago :D

Hey, you are yet able to do something so different! I like a lot the light effect on the clouds, even if, as you say, this "line effect" break a few the realism.
