Description

I am somewhat surprised to see that Renderosity has survived time and is still up and running the way it was when I last logged in in 2005. It must be one of the oldest still independently operating communities on the web! Recently I have made a couple of Terragen 0.9 images again. This is a color version of my classic "Bliss" image that won me a Terracon award in 2002, and with that a Terragen licence. The same licence I used today to render this image in 8k (resized to 4k). If you zoom in enough you can see there is actually a resolution limit to this effect. I never knew... I also used the "SO HDR Output" plugin to render this in HDR and have better control over highlights and color grading without introducing banding.

I remember you!! Bliss was one of my favorite effects and this is a great one. Classic TG is still the best in terms of lighting real and otherwise. I have only rarely seen a new TG that has realistic or interesting lighting. I may have to create some new stuff with old TG just for old times sake...

Thanks :) Yeah, creating great light in the new TG takes a lot of time and trail and error, and then still I can't get the powerful colors of classic TG (I tried a few times).

MDB... Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time :p (was checking an old email address I haven't used in years, and between spam, this mail from Renderosity: "MDB has uploaded an image on Renderosity.com!") Still great.

Ha, nice! :) I remember your vivid and often highly experimental renders :-) I think I have still a couple saved.

Haven't been in Renderosity for almost 11 years. Crazy to see Prutzworks, and a few others still carrying the torch. I always liked the Terracon version of this image and this one is great as well. Welcome back.
