I think it a beautiful decoration of Paris Hilton's hat! LOL Sorry but I have no idea how this flower is called but it's a fantastic macro shot of this beauty! A shame that so many wonderful artists are forced leaving Rendo! I hate the poisoned atmosphere here!!!

Amaranthus. The ancient mayas ate it mixed with blood. Spaniard conquistadores forbade it, and it sort of disappeared, but it's having a comeback. Seems the seeds are quite interesting as a source of food, and can be quite tasty. There are recipes without blood, if you are queasy.

Iknow this flower, quite alien ! In spanish "cresta de gallo" literally in english "cock's crest". Really fascinanting.
