I really like the mech, textures and the look of the Cinema`s render. A couple of suggestions: 1. The relative scales look a bit unproportional to me. I think the grates should be smaller. Same goes to the bullet shells. I presume you wanted to produce the depth effect but they still looks too huge. 2. The glow on the gun tips makes them look like some light particle/beam weapons. I think some kind of high-speed glow/blur blended with heated (red-hot:) gun tips could look a bit more natural. 3. The bullets are still in the shells:). There should be just shells, no?

Cool. I love the model. I do agree with some of Slav's comments but I think the scene is too filled with models. Maybe if they were more set within a Mojoworld landscape it could have been better.

Bloody hell !! - I haven't posted an image in 5 months and when I do it gets a roasting !! ;-) Slav : The scales are not incorrect, the buildings are DAZ models with UVW texture maps, so if the grates are out of scale, then its the fault of the guy who designed the geometry & maps. Personally I think it might be becuase of the low camera perspective... Also - the bullets are not overproportioned either, they fit the gun barrel exactly, the first shell in the scene (last one from camera view)is 10 feet away fromk the tip of the gun - so again its probably perspective that makes it look like the bullets are too big !! - perhaps I should have had more bullets nearer the gun barrel tip, to show relative scale. Finally - yes you've got me there, the 'bullets' should be empty shell casings - never mind :-), I was just trying to make a pleasing image....

Angela, when i looked at this i thought it was COOOL. The detail in the models is fantastic i love that huge moon! Overall it looks fine to me, i dont have any criticisms at all, and in anycase, no Mojoworld image by anyone is perfect... Glad you are posting again.. Shaun.

Excellent action Image Angela, love the materials & lighting chosen. I thought I recognised that building mesh :-) I think the comments about the bullets are of value (possible cause maybe camera angle also - it distorts size/scales) but you have realised the solution yourself. Im not sure if the Particle effects are to resemble the smoke generated from the shells or dust from the mechs movements?? If a gun was on a high repeat rate & firing then there would streams of casings flying about everywhere. Not all bullets fire! So the unfired rounds here are OK. I was looking at if I was to do it, what would I have changed.. & the only things I can think of...Id have used MJT mesh branches for the flying shell casings so that I could define a path for the falling bullets & allow me to easily add more in the scene quickly. I may also have added some spot lights to the 2 down lights on the building. I dont think the image is too cluttered but I think it would add greater impact if a guy was crouching with a gun behind those crates as if taking cover or ready to counter assault:-) Where did you get the model from of the Mech? @Bob I would guess it was rendered in C4D with the Mojorld as a backdrop. The lighting & shadows leads me to this guess?!Glad to see you posting back again in Mojo. Dont let our comments or criticisms drive you away.....you do excellet work & personally I still enjoy seeing it!

Well, technical aspects aside, I think it has amazing visual impact - therefore that first impression carries a lot of weight, and overrides any "faults" that can be found (like most things - if you look hard enough...) At the end of the day its art, not reality.

I love the mech design, not only is it innovatory but it retains some traditional features too, such as the auto-cannons. Overall, a striking image, although I must admit the first thing I noticed - like most of the members who've commented before me - was the complete shells ejecting from the guns. I hope you do more mech images, you clearly have a flair for them.
