Description

Painted in Painter & PhotoShop. 2D Forum's January Theme is something about Positive note. It doesn't fit to my life just now so well, so I asked Google for suggestions, and the first hit was this quote: "At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want." --Lao-tzu I think it fits perfectly to this lady in my picture! So this painting is for January theme in 2D Forum. Thank you so much for viewing. All comments are really appreciated.. Thanks!

A wonderfully thought-provoking image. She certainly seems to fit the role perfectly - independent, feisty and unique. Great picture! Mike

Such a wonderful surreal image, Titta. Very defined with the woman appearing very determined and self possessed. Great imagination. I love the wave that is all lit up.

Only in Painter and Photoshop? Did you use any photo sources? Anyway, you're managed to acheive impressive realism here, with a surreal edge. As usual, your work inspires me!

Thank you all! So much! Naichan, photos have been used as "looking at references", as well as mirrors for the pose (that's not me in the picture though lol).

Nice 2d representation! And i agree with you: the pendulum goes to the positive and to the negative, not quiet the mind, the being. The neutral mind-viewing is the Satori.- Excellsius for you!

Your image shows in a strong way this most important discovery of our way. When I remember taking a look back I can see that my biggest puzzle to solve was to let the world outside. I was quite unable to locate myself because always was captured by my attention to the world. Now, 20 years later I can find myself in your image and I enjoy this very special kind of freedom, to be Martin and to know who he is. Thanks Titta for posting, get better soon and hugest hugs !!!

You are fantastic in your creativity, and I love all the detais that are so important for the message of your paintings. This lady surely knows what she wants and is ready to take risks to get what she wants. Excellent my lady!!

Very expressive & creative image. I don't usually try to decode symbolism in art, but this one kind of jumps out at me - decadence (cigarette, alcohol, seductive outfit) on the path towards primitive sensuality (caged wildcat, pounding surf). Reminds me of the surrealist paintings of Dorothea Tanning & Leonora Carrington. Great work...

Some things are worth fighting for. The right to grow as an artist is one. I see that in your work. (Sorry about the delete and replace, but I felt my previous comment was poorly worded)
