I started Brycing in November of 2003 after being introduced to it through the owner of www.mulawa.net, Peter Hewitt. He created a set of tutorials and sent a group of us a book called Advanced Bryce Creations. His generoisity has led to many hours of joy for me as I create the images you will see in my gallery.
I was able to start Brycing because I no longer worked as a CAD drafter at the local foundry which lost most of its business to overseas businesses. My husband supports me for the time being but says when he retires, I get to go back to work so we have health insurance. We will see :D
Stats: Female, married, no children, brown hair, hazel eyes, glasses, drink Bacardi Limon and diet Pepsi(have since given this up...I still miss it, lol), love to golf, camp, play PC games and Bryce. I used to love to tend my garden so that's where my nick came from...Burpee Seeds.
Boring? Maybe but I'm happy :)

No one gets realism out of Bryce the way you do Nancy, this is absolutely sublime. The Cowboy Way yes Ma'am but with an Iron Horse for me. Super work & Peace

I'd like to make a comment on a good point that Lemonjim brought up. He suggested a 2D plane to change the sky to something less surreal. This is a practice that a lot of people in Bryce will use. It works for some people like Joe (orbital) but I prefer to use Bryce as is and in some cases the 2D sky clashes with the rest of the scene. In my scene here, I have seen clouds like this...usually upward glow from the setting sun sets them on fire and they blaze red, orange and purple. What I think is a bit surreal is that they have spots that are circular rather than stringy and long. I wish the sky lab made volume clouds instead of me having to create them. Then I could put big thunderheads in my scenes and those huge puffy clouds too. In the end, I like the sky because the overall effect is that of a painting.

@Ken, if this was about landscapes ma;ybe I could win but right now there's some very good cowboy art with a slightly 2D look that is looking very promising as a front runner to me...guns and bullets and such.

This is touching.I think it is what I liked about Bryce so much. To be able to create this type of scene from the mind.Your words go well with it too. What I do like about this is the positioning of everything. What if I said maybe add a bit of shadows to the trees in front.OK I'll run and hide so ya don;t hit me. Have a nice end of week.

You know Nancy...No matter what part of the World we come from, the Wild West Way of the past has always been looked upon as a romantic and exciting way to live. Although there was a lot of danger..there was also a lot of freedom and dreams to be fulfilled. I wish I had been around in those days, I guess I am just an old romantic lol!. Excellent work!
