Description

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the comments on my previous photos - they are appreciated. Here is an oldie - still done with slide film and then drum-scanned. Every now and then, you will get a lucky action shot and hope that all you need to do is press the shutter button. These shots occur is seconds. I was lucky to get a shot of these two zebra playing. They usually are wary of anyone or anything watching them. Hence my title. Anyway - have a blessed weekend! Enjoy!

Looks like a broken link to the full size. Rendo will get it worked out sooner or later. This is a great image. I love the way you also snatched the upper lip on the second zebra, almost like he's laughing. (Some people claim horses are laughing when they do this, others say they're sniffing something odd. Did you wear deoderant that day? :) Good use of depth of field, too. I like the way they're singled out in the image.

Haha - I found the problem. My fault - sorry everyone! I converted the image from TIFF to JPEG but forgot to select RBG mode. I left it on CMYK for litho printing purposes! Cheers

Hmm...why is everyone complimenting you on a photo that isnt there? LOL. They must be judging the thumb...which i loved as well i might add. I checked this upload from work 40 minutes ago and didnt see the photo....just a red X. At first i thought it was my computer so i decided to have another look when i got back from work. And here i am...at home...40 minutes later...and i still dont see it. Only the red X. I do find it amusing though that so many who commented doesnt seem to care. #;o) Have a wonderful weekend!...edit: Because now i can FINALLY see it! And i do love that facial expression that i reckon most people before me missed. Sure is a funny shot. #:o)

Lol - that's funny. Good one Anton! Just curious about the color of the Zebra's! The one standing has a slight - the one lying has a pretty strong pinkish tint - is that a reflection from the ground or are they really that way?

This species of zebra don't have pure white stripes. They have what they call Shadow stripes and are ochery or off-white in colour. The stripes on the legs also diminish towards the hooves. Enjoy!
