One thing I would say you may want to work on is the difference in materials. The spec and reflections of the surfaces all look a little too similar to each other (i.e her clothes look like they are made from the same material as the walls etc.)giving the image a slightly flat look. IMHO. All the best. Minty.

Good work with the rendering

Yes, the materials are rather minimalistic. This is an effort to force myself to start using Poser that I got last month as a gift. Now I can show my friend, "See, I really am using it." Its also my first try an making my own clothing in C4D R8. And, of course, just trying out different lighting ideas. I find that when an image starts to become too complex then I hesitate to work on it more. This one was about as done as I can tolerate for now. So I thought I would post it. For me, its a good effort.

Very nice image, try some GI or ambient occlusion next time, it really enhances realism. Do you use Clothilde or did you model the clothes?

Rats, for some reason my carefully typed reply to this didn't show up. I wonder if I dyslexcially hid the Reset button instead of the Submit one. Too bad this text box doesn't allow one to paste from an editor. Okay, I will try again at try to recall all what I so carefully composed before. Yes, I did use GI in the image. I rendered both with and without GI and composited them together in PS with a Screen blending mode. For the GI I sued a sky object with a gradient-like directional Falloff shader. Maybe that was a mistake as maybe it makes the lighting too flat looking. Also to add to light on her face I used a small short ranged omni light about a foot in front of her face with no shadow setting. Same for her her one ankle as I liked the highlight that was there but it was not bright enough. My older R8 of C4D doesn't have Clothide. That came in later versions. I used a boxes around the posed nude figure and extruded faces, subdivided, and pushed and pulled vertices into place by hand. As you can tell Im not very good at it. I also did some slight burning and dodging in post in PS as well. Okay, I hope I hit the right button this time and it postes.
