I removed a previous image and replaced it by this newer, final version. done with blenders fluids and internal render engine.

is that the blender icon i see in the fluid? i tried to do that with my beaker but i couldnt make the resolution high enough.

resolution in this image is never higher than 100. I used a modeled blender Logo as fluid and took the best frame which I reimported as mesh. For the new baking process I used a lowpoly-version of it. Baking all the fluids (wax, water, blender - Logo and steam) took less than one hour, materials and lighting about five days (of a hard working head of a family) oodmb, I am very impressed by your sss - shader. Unfortunately this image was made for a contest, so I had not enough time to study it out - but the candle would look much better with it.
