Description

Going for the impression that the viewer is at a gallery showing of large wall mounted sculptures kierab (thank you!) had some helpful suggestions on the first version of this image, so when I couldn't sleep last night, I made a few changes. PLEASE, helpful criticism is always welcome here! The set up and lighting used in this image will likely be used more than just this once and I'd like to have it just right before using it on the next sculpture.

That is exactly what I had in mind. I think this one pops much better than the first one. Good work! You do lose a little of the feeling of the internal light with the two top lights though. Perhaps if they were not so bright? Or maybe if you can add some "atmosphere" to the scene which could pick up some of the internal light? I am not sure how you'd do that though, and it's not really necessary - I just thought I would toss it in just in case this image is still keeping you awake. :-)

Thanks everyone for the kind words, encouragement and suggestions! Atmosphere, hmm, will think on that a bit, but the overhead lights can be dimmed down when it seems appropriate. grin Now I gotta go save this as a 'basic scene for frequent use'; oh goody, now I got me a new toy to play with, woo hoo!!

The chain is from 'free stuff' on Rosity by Aldaron. I made the posts myself when I didn't find any using 3 cylinders and a not-so-primitive cone from a set purchased from the Rosity marketplace. Sorry I forgot to credit the merchants! Old timers disease, doncha know! LOL
