Description

Photography + Photofiltre studio Auvers sur Oise, the city of painters, 33 km from Paris, yesterday. First outing of 2007, the weather was splendid and we went to visit this lovely city of Auvers. I wanted to begin this series by Van Gogh's grave, so simple and touching. Thanks a lot for your comments and for those who added my previous image in their favs!!! I'm honoured!

Beautiful and warm shot of what could've been a very cold subject (a head stone that is). The sunflower in the frame is a nice touch considering whose grave it is.

Magnifique Loloe ! Une excellente id d'avoir pris cette photo. Je ne savais pas que Van Gogh ait enterrl Et cette tombe, simple, touchante, et avec un tournesol pour lui tenir compagnie, c'est grandiose. I saw this image yesterday during my lunch break at work, and immediately added it to my favs... but in the evening I forgot to come back to comment... At least, Laurence, you know that I love this picture, perfectly in the mood of Van Gogh's work ! Auvers has been on my list of planned trips for already some month... Your series makes me even more impatient... ZIBOUS
