Dear Rozanne, Really neat photo!! I'm always surprised at how much variation there is in the waves!!! The sand due is "back" implies it was gone. That seems odd because I don't really understand the dynamics of your coast. I'll have to do a bit of researching. Our coastal dunes basically grow until a hurricnae comes along an flattens them!!!! Speaking of wicked weather, if I disappear suddenly for a few days it's because the ice storm is bearing down on us!!! Isn't that jsut duck!!! It's 27 outside, the wind chill is 15, it's pouring rain mixed with snow flurries - and suppose to get a LOT worse!!! Really neat photo with single pole standing it's lonely vigil indeed!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith

The lines of the pole drawing the eye down to the sand. Very effective.

So they are back again... quite minimal this time ! Encourage them a little, maybe leaving some sticks and food around. Superb capture Rozanne, like a lot.

Keep a careful watch with your cam, maybe this time the mystery will be solved? Excellent detective work. Aloha

I this the Catalan equivalent of a 'crop circle', then, Rozanne? Maybe your spooky beach male ("I don't know who he is 127303" and "I still don't know who he is 127381" ) is an artist, and bone fide pole erector during the night. Probably he is trying to put together a submission for the Turner prize.. ;o) Regard, John.
