Description

A few days ago I went down to our studio to sort through some of LJ's music. The morning sun was shining through the glass door and as I walked by I spotted something extraordinary. A giant osprey was sitting on a log near the studio. Stunned and excited, I prayed it would stay long enough for me to get my camera and take a picture. I was running around, my doxies were barking, but through the chaos the bird remained calm, turning his majestic head around to watch me while I snapped photos through the glass. And then with a mighty flutter he spread his magnificent wings and few away. This mystic visit made my day! Ospreys, which are raptors, usually mate for life. We have a couple who come back to Colorado every Spring To nest by a trout lake that is a few miles from my home. They feed on fish and always migrate to a warmer climate when the snows come. It is very rare to see them in the winter. And so my mystic visitor touched my heart, And inspired this art. Credits: Photo-art created in Photoshop CS, using original Osprey photo combined with painting techniques, and backgrounds (50 backgrounds by 5DS) and (River Deep/Mountain High by antje/bez) Hope you enjoy. Mystic visit indeed! I saw this earlier this afternoon and had to go in an emergency, but had to come to congratulate you on so many points, Carol. There are obviously so many things in this life that are mighty blessings that most of us take for granted and/or miss. I absolutely love this collage in the works you did, but the stock captures of this magnificent creature that you took to new heights! I just wonder if this bird knew he's a rock star now? LOL! You have this amazing and incredible talent of taking wildlife and portraying them in true art so beautifully that I sit here and contemplate my life in the city and wonder what the hell I'm doing. I was raised in the country and have seen many a wonderous things...some eagles the size of small planes. But your incredible talent really takes us all to new levels and shows us parallels between nature and the human condition so intricately. I absolutely love your style, your heart, your soul, and your artistic excellence, Carol. There is nobody like you who can create this degree of emotion along with this level of expertise, and you give me the love and hope to carry on each day to experience life. A brilliant piece of art you have done here! I love this work because of the interesting background story! It really looks that the osprey did know what a fabulous work you will do together with him! It's a fantastic Photoshop work! Congratulation!!!

Thank you for all your wonderful comments. They inspire me. There is something else in the Osprey photo that I just noticed ... the small patch of white feathers on its back have formed a heart. It seems LJ is sending me hearts in the most unique ways. :o) CC

Carol, I am sorry about the late comment, especially on art this Fantastic, you always capture everything to Perfection. I my opinion you have mastered the use of color, like few have, and that alone adds so much to your work...........Outstanding job my friend............Bueatifl and very well done.........
