Description

Solar Sails for spacecraft are generally considered to be a futuristic concept that is still primarily on the drawing boards. Amazingly, there was an early attempt at solar sailing that even predates NASA.

The sailboat and the Moon were rendered with Bryce. The nebulae and stars are the result of Universe and "hand"-drawn airbrushing in Paint Shop Pro. The Moon is an actual photo that has been projected onto a sphere in Bryce. One day I'll redo this one with a nicer sailboat. Maybe I can show myself on the bow.
