Description

For many, this time is often the darkest of the year as winter has settled in for a long, dreary stay. Hence the name "Winter Blues." The farther north you live, the more common the disorder becomes. As the days become shorter, and winter storms often hide what little sun there is, people begin to drag through life. To combat the "Winter Blues" try Phototherapy, or bright light therapy. Go for a walk (don't forget to bring yor camera)or do some light exercise when the weather permits, especially on sunny days. And of course, reduce the stress in your life.

Beautiful pic! Looks like the hub and spokes of a wheel. I spent many winters in the woods of New Hampshire and loved it! I enjoy the solitude and developed many skills in that time when my children were little ones. We did craft projects and I developed a quilting business which led me to be a judge for the New England Quilter's Guild and League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. Taking the little ones for walks in the snow and hearing our boots crunch along the packed snow was fun and it's a great time for sighting birds! No leaves to cover them! Thanks for the memories of the sweet years...I just didn't know it at the time.

Whatever it is that makes that almost circle around the tree is what makes this image for me. Something about that particular line is just amazing.

Wonderful dramatic lighting! I love the straight angular lines in juxtaposition with the circle. Great geometry and a really neat shot!
