Description

To most auto enthusiasts and fans of hot rods/classic cars, the 1957 Chevy Bel Air is the ultimate auto to be designed by Detroit... Software used : Free model of a 1957 Chevy found on the web and rendered in Vue Esprit Pro 6 as well as the beach. The Chevy was then detailed with photos I took of a real 1957 Chevy (fender skirts, rear fin chrome) and a little free hand detail painting using Paint Shop Pro and a Wacom Graphire tablet. The girls are from two free stock photos at http://www.sxc.hu/... All compositing was done in Paint Shop Pro and touched up in Artweaver 0.4.4...

Very nicely composited and post-worked. I still have fond memories of my 1957 Chevy Bel Air hardtop 283 4 bbl with the world famous "power slide" transmission. :-) Thank you for posting this wonderful image.

How about the little shields in the center of the hubcaps and the blackout in the half moons in the depth of the flutes? Nice to see the ribbon stripe stainless and the Bel Air represented. Op! how about the keyhole under the door handle? And one at the bottom of the trunk. Don't even go there on the fake and real screens and blackouts around the headlights. I'm holding you to this one. Custom or stock? You build it!! The turn downs are "kiddie wear" you have pointed out to me from your continuing series. I may actually meet one of these collectors of today based on your research. Will they use "Tris' on their coon tail?

My friend has a brownish/maroonish one like this...soft top and all. We looked good riding in it. It was a classic at the time and it still is!
