Description
Despite the following quote, it is FAR more likely that this rendering is the product of Bryce and composite images and bump maps from JPL and is intended as a parody of the original Mars Face.
"Another Face Discovered on Mars
NASA astronomers have announced the discovery of another so-called "face" on Mars. This new feature was found among images taken by the new Mars Odyssey spacecraft which just entered orbit in late October, 2001. At the time the photos were taken in early December, 2001, the Odyssey was still in its preliminary "aerobraking" phase, with a very elliptical orbit.
The original Face was first seen in Viking photos taken in 1976 and is located in western Arabia Terra, at approximately 40.8

My family has suggested that if I tried hard enough I might be able to "discover" all sorts of things on Mars. I'll bet that WTC Tower guy even shows up on Mars one day! If you study some wide-field Viking photos of the area around the original Mars Face, you will see that the area around it strongly resembles features found in the above rendering. Why, it would almost make you suspect fakery!
