Description
The texture on this is a photograph of a pot that's on my patio. I did two of these, one with a more metallic texture. My brother said he liked this one better because of all the detail and time I'd obviously put into making those little ridges. :) Ain't 3-D grand?

Nice job of modeling. I'm trying to learn modeling in Modo right now, and the learning curve is way steep! But I'm getting there. :)

the terra cotta material looks very good - but the ripples do not fit the pot corectly. Did you unwrap your model and UV mapped your tex?

. . . sigh . . . busted! No - it's a straight photo texture. I haven't done very well with UV mapping so far. It's a skill that escapes me. I'm continuing to work on it, but every time I try using UV mapping, everything comes out sideways or upside down or weirdly pixelated. My Blender Shaolin Master (Einzie1) can't figure out WHAT I'm doing wrong. He thinks I'm doing something that I'm not telling him about. I think either he's missed a part of the instruction, or that critters from another planet are living in my computer, messing up my UV attempts. I shall persevere.

This is a good model. I didn't notice the ridges thing till I saw walross's post, it's not that noticeable :)
