Description

This is a quarry near our home. It froze like this a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't help but notice the Fractal nature of the freezing pattern. The ice is very thin (I threw a small snowball to test it). The temperature has not risen above freezing since then so it's thick enough to walk on now but it doesn't look like this any more. I know the picture is rather grainy - hopefully we can get a better camera next summer. Hope everyone (in this hemisphere) is staying warm and Thanks for Looking! Ken

What a beautiful day that was. And to think we saw footprints in the snow so close to this sight, and they didn't even turn to look at the beauty..... I still say they must have been 'blind hikers'.... maybe their seeing eye dog kept them away from the edge of the cliff. Well.... they just don't know what they missed. Lovely shot dear, thank you for keeping that image forever fresh for me.
