Description

These lovely flowers have self-seeded in my garden and arrive each summer. Technically I suppose they are weeds, but I can't bring myself to remove them all.

Oh yes they are some kind of weeds, but one of the most beautiful kind of weeds and I soo much love them. I am so nostalgic, because I have so many wonderful memories from my childhood. I grew up in copenhagen. Not far from where I live now, while I was a little girl, my mom and dad borrowed my uncles vacation cottage every summer for 2-3 weeks. The area I am talking about was only heather and and small pine trees/bushes and some fields of seed. There I saw those cornflowers. That area was my childhoods paradise. I could walk around in all the area all by myself, just 6 years old. My 2 brothers were doing the same, just they didnt want me around, so I felt that all the BAY, the little grove of pines, the beach all were mine and I felt so happy. OOOPS!! sorry ! You se what your wonderful cornflower art made al my memories come back to me and im just Blabbing and blabbing LOL. Thanks for that anyway. It was a lovely memory :))) I will add this image to my favorites and 5 you got.

Anything that tenacious and that lovely deserves to grow wild.:o) And this is stunning artwork you've done with them. It has a wildness to it I like. CC

A weed is just a plant that's growing where you don't want it to grow. If you want these in your garden, then they aren't weeds, they're "volunteers." A gift from the gardening gods. :)

The abstraction has aided their cause. How they got from Kansas to Wales is what I don't understand. Is Dorothy there, too?

Aren't ''weeds'' supposed to look ugly? Excellent, Mike!
