Oh sure!!!
You can get a nice shot of me when I'm only six feet away!!
But will you still be pleased when I have taken wing and I am sixty feet away??
Will you still love me when all you see is a blurry shot of my tail feathers??

LOL, I know the herons must laugh at me. I can get no more than half way
across the causeway before they bolt, saying , err... eat my tail feathers. :)
So this was a conciliatory shot. Thanks for looking and thanks so much for
your generous views and comments. :)...Maria

They are called flying Rats in Amsterdam.. they do everything to get them at least 6.000.000.000 feet away from the city center

A real birdseye view. Great close-up. Herons are beautiful but I rather not see them close and personal in my backyard. They love Koi. I have fishline strung 7 ft high criss crossing my yard to discourage Herons.

you must of made a friend Maria.stunning macro. a bull died I think in Ohio that had more than 100,000 offspring.he was responsible for 10% of all the dairy cows in the US.many cows will miss him, but mostly his owner

LOL - I can so relate to what you're saying here (so many hours spent stalking herons). Love the shot, DOV is excellent :)

Pretty little dove. I can see that look in the eye that says "hurry or I'm blurry." Nice shot.

I think you did well to get a clear head with this one cause although they come close their heads are always moving. I like the background on this super shot.

Nice , clear, sharp !

Doves are much less skittish than herons. They and sparrows love to come into our garage and try to make their nests or just wander around inside. We often have to chase them out. :)
