Description

Just wondering where I should post this. It started out as a Bryce render of a car. It was a car .obj that wanted to explode in BRYCE so I took it into CINEMA4D and resaved it as a 3DS. I brought it back into Bryce and rendered out a scene. The scene didn't look that great so I took it into PAINTSHOPPRO XI and used it to experiment with some of my effects to see what they would do. Before I knew it, I had this. I like it...enough to post it. It also gives me a chance to ask everyone what they think about postwork. Let's see....we have Bryce, Cinema4D and PSPXI....so, where does it go? It's a Bryce render and there's just a touch of postwork. You can still see a car in there, right? Not! The bumper was the chrome part and the big yellow-red area was the car body. Anyhoo, Lots of people postwork their images until the original is nowhere to be seen and still post it in the rendering ap's gallery. I'm learning alot now about postwork and adding much more of it to my images. If I ever get to a point where the image is so heavily postworked that it's no longer the same image, it's going into 2D. That's just me I suppose.

LOL your image has a long way behind. But it looks fantastic. Great abstract scene. Postwork is something delicate. I allways do postwork on my work. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But i think postwork on 3d work is like the salt in your soup, Love how matches here everything.

Hmmm I wouldn't say there's much postwork on an abstract image... I wouldn't have said there was a car there either... I think it should go on mixed medium. I see you haven't done any clothes... although it doesn't make me happier. 8-)

Excellent abstract Nancy. Nice to experiment once in a while. Postwork always brings out that something extra to a render when used in the right places.

No it's not just you Nancy, too much Postwork is like too many Cooks, makes a terrible mess. This isn't a mess however, it's a pretty unique experimental piece IMHO, excellent. & Peace

Great stuff, I see what you mean about gallery choices. A system that allowed you to show one image in more than gallery at once would be a better system in my opinion.

This is funny-camr out nice though--Hate postwork probably because I'm not very good at it. Little contrast and lightness, maybe some fog or light rays, highlights and smudging-agout it

A most unique abstract. It's always fun to experiment with filters to see what surprises it delivers. I would be lost without postwork, to me it is the finishing touch on a piece of art. The final work, no matter how we get there, is what I focus on and matters most to me. CC

I'm just a beginner with postwork and I find that I tend to overdo it sometimes. Hard to step back and stop reworking the image, lol.

the bryce pure people is turning oven now lol . Had to say that. this is cool looking. sometimes I do some post work but a lot of time none. mostly contrast the image. I do not mind what people do. Just let your mind go and come up with wonderful cars like this. I think you post it right galley. I do like the undo or back clicks. but keep on trucking cool looking

It might be said that anything that comes after the initial idea is post-work. Whatever... This is a fine piece of work however it was developed.
