Description

AloooooooooHa! Welcome to the weekend!! Been pretty busy this week just trying to keep above water and cope with life. All is well, just haven't had time to shoot anything new..and my commenting has seriously suffered some set backs...sorry about that. I will try to catch up as time allows, forgive me. A pretty huge Southwest swell has been hitting the shores of the islands this week, so I headed out this morning to walk to some areas I haven't been before. I came across this bay along a rocky coast and shot some images of the swell pounding the shore. This was a particularly hairy shoot as no where on the reef was really safe to shoot. I got wet more than once and ate a lot of sea spray...but glad to report I'm fine and survived intact. The day was overcast and shooting conditions were not optimum, but once in awhile the light allowed for a few shots. Thanks for stopping in and having a little looksie, I do appreciate the time you've spent here...Much Aloha to all and enjoy the weekend!!

Swell photo Dave, truly! It is hard to capture the raw power of mother nature and convey it convincingly, but you did just that. Aloha.

I'm happy you are so willing to brave the stormy seas so we can continue to get our "fix" of your brilliant water shots.

LOL at Andreas...He's right...getting a wow from Richard is unheard of..so congrats on that... ;^) Gorgeous shot Dave. That graininess/spray and the deep blue hues..sooooo beautiful. It's almost surreal... Like Andreas' drops, I can just imagine these wave images of yours...huge...on exhibition in an all white gallery...and it would look sooooo awesome...like you are walking into a wave. Anyway...it's wonderful and I'll shutup now. I've been trying to makeup for not commenting all this time and I'm getting a bit punchy, lol. See ya and aloha buddy.-M :^)

Wow! Marvellous capture. I've said for the "Cliff Backwash" that portrays well the power of the Ocean, but I said that in haste. This one is even better :)

You have an amazing way with waves. Your technique should be a chapter in somebody's photo book. Stunning photo.
