Description

The indigo renderer must be one of the slowest renderer around. I did this render over a 16 hour period on my amd 2200+. And its still gritty. But the light is fabolous. Much better than my yafray render. Things that I don't like about Indigo is that it doesn't support Blender textures or particles. I got the flu and didn't want to be bothered with reading tutorials. Things I like is easy set up. Even though you gotta have mesh lights instead of lamps. Sorry raj for not doing your hdr image yet. You gotta wait until I am feeling well and my fever is gone. All comments and critics are appreciated.

it does have better lighting, however, it seems kind of cold for indoor lighting.

Well. Clearly there's a LOT I need to learn about different rendering programs! This is very interesting! I like the image both ways, for different reasons. The smoky quality of the other one was nice, but I like it that I can see more of what you did in this one. (Your modeling is just so outstanding - I can't get over what a wonderful job you do!) I tried my first YafRay render this weekend, and got an unexpected result. I can see, from comparing these two images, that some of what I saw might just be inherent in YafRay, and something I'll need to learn to work around. Thanks for posting this. I learn from you all the time!

@Oodmb: The lightning is so cold due to the lack of the warm wood colour. And there is no saturation in the lights. It like having a concret floor. Just a different feel. @Auntietk: Thank you for your compliments. But my modelling skills are not so good as you think. (That is what I think anyway. Have still a lot to learn :)) The smokey feeling was not intended in yafray render but it was cool. And the caustic was bad in the yafray render compared to this. THe lamp light from the table lamp in the background is better in this pic to. All in all more life like. And thats what I am aiming for.
