Description

Like many of the cards of the Major Arcana, The Star corresponds with a sign of the Zodiac - in this case, Aquarius. The card has always had great personal significance for me because that happens to be my sign. Interestingly, most decks depict this card as if it IS Aquarius itself - the image is typically of a young woman bearing jugs of water, often pouring one upon the ground. The thing is, Aquarius is an air sign, despite its connection with water. Soo, for my version of one of my favorite cards I decided to mix the concepts, depicting our young woman rising from water, but surrounded by the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, indicating the mental and spiritual properties of air that are so characteristic of Aquarius.

Nice blending of the render and postwork. Thanks for the education on Aquarius, I had always associated that sign with water. "Aqua", go figure. No hope for the simple-minded, eh? lol A great addition, I believe I might have missed a couple. I'll catch up over the weekend.
