Such a proud looking bird and you have captured him beautifully! Great detail in the feathers. Bravo!

A very good experiment ! A very nice effect this brush ! THis Parrot is a wonder, perfectly neat, but the composition because of the place where he is is a little bit dark (all the brown-red part). Maybe it will be interesting to try to made this part more luminous, and just with a blur in all the background, without the brush ? It's a beautiful effect, but for a subject as this beautiful bird, it's attract too much the glance But of course it's a personnal opinion ;o))) A beautiful shot

Oh my gosh did this one choose a doozy of a hat... LOL! Reminds me of those society ladies at the turn of the century who had to buy a huge hat with the longest and the most ostrich feathers in it to out-do the other ladies in town... What a proud bird this is. Great shot.

Super looking bird, background is great....Cath

What a beautiful bird...I think the brush did a great job of blurring the background, I might even have blurred it a bit more. I love what you've done with the shot. It's terrific work. ;o)

Very extraordinary bird. I would have blurred even more and make it less bright even.

I would keep the blur as it is but crop a bit more of that top background off more...then I think it would be PERFECT!!! I love it how it is now tooooooo!! huge hugs to you!

i think this has worked very well, it puts the focus on the bird. his edges are very good, you dont seem to have lost any of the feather detail.

It is a superb result, Wendy. Stunning shot. Incredible bird. Top work. Hugs. Di.

Beautiful bird and such lovely detail. A good experiment with regards to the cage, but it's still distracting, and takes away from the bird. Myself I would try to smudge and darken the background to the point where it no longer distracts from the subject. Fabulous capture!!

What kind of a bird is that? That is cool! For the postwork? One thing you could do is to select the background only and apply a lensblur. A bit hard to say without seeing the actual original!

Wendy,,,what a great bit of post work you did. It does help focus the attention on the bird..Keep on experimenting..
