Description

The African Red-eyed Bulbul (Rooioogtiptol) is a real ordinary looking bird but so rich in its "vocabulary" of eloquant sounds - a real joy to have around. Its Afrikaans regional name is "bottergat" (butter ass) and I am sure you notice the reason for that.

Beautiful color and definition in these captures of the beautiful avian, Piet! At least you have a wide variety of birdies in your neck of the woods. All I have are crows, pigeons, and an occasional sparrow.
