Description
I saw hundreds of crains in the swamp one day. They was too far to get any good shots. All was in trees it looked wild. I thought it was bug pods at first but this crane came flying close to me and I got this shot off. one of the best ones of him in a tree.
I took this with my 35 mm film camera with a 200 lens with a 2x thing on it to make the 200 lens into a 400. Best I got.
Guess you bird shoots would have thrown this shot away. It no where close to the birds I saw here on Rend.
I getting no ebots here even my ebots on comments is gone lol. got to fly by the sit of my pants here
thanks you all. I just doing the best I can with what I have. I got the camera set on auto here. It means just the F stops is auto. I have to focus on my own.

Don't worry about your e-bots, they will turn up sooner or later, your capture of the CRANE is BRILL ! almost looks like he is in a maze and can't find the way out, well done Jocko ~Cheers~

I prefer not getting the ebots, so I just browse the galleries.if I do not see a recent post, then I do a search for the artists name.an excellent capture Jock. Cranes are not easy to capture because they are afraid of humans and I do not blame them

Great shot, Jocko! We have cranes here in Michigan, too! Sometimes in the summer there will be a bunch of cranes walking in the fields near the swamps.

Pretty good shot, Jocko, especially using a 400mm lens setup. With a heavy lens at that distance you're lucky to get a steady shot unless your using a tripod. Maybe you could use a faster shutter speed for a sharper picture. Anyway, good looking bird sitting among all those neat branches.

You did well to get this shot of the Crane up the trees Jock. I have only once captured a Crane on film and it was so far away that it looked the size of a sparrow, needed a magnifying glass to see it lol!. Excellent capture1

Nice shot. A bird in a tree is worth two in a bush. (that is not exactly the thing Ben Franklin said, but i doubt he ever saw a crane in a tree)

Your ebots may be being sent to bulk mail. Mine just shifted yesterday. Using a Barlow 2x is a tough proposition hand held. The telescope I bought for my son in the late 70's had a Barlow that would introduce fine black dust of refringement to the objective.
