My Dad used to tell the most amazing stories. One was that there is so much fog in the days before Spring so that She could leap out at us partially clothed and not naked as in Winter. That is the reason for Her name, because She sprongs out at us before we realize Winter has left. It has of course lost much in the telling. He was a master at holding one spellbound with words! Thanks for such a pleasant memory. After your post yesterday, I recalled sitting in a copse with him, trees dripping with mist, surrounded by fog, eating PBJ sandwiches, and waiting to catch a glimpse of a deer family on their way for a morning drink. He was telling me this story. The memory was so clear, I wasn't in my fifties forn almost an hour! LOL! Thanks again. BJ
