Description
While I was watching the eagle nest in yesterday's post, I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye.
I saw an eagle and could only turn and quickly fire off several shots, without changing any of my settings.
He was a good ways off and flying towards the late afternoon sun. I could only hope they came out.
When I saw these on the computer, I saw that it was not one of the three nesting eagles, but a juvenile
eagle. My Sibley bird book tells me that this coloring, and the black eye stripe identify it as a three year old
juvenile eagle. He was not being chased by the adults. I wonder if he was left alone because he might be
one of their offspring. This is a long panorama, try full size if you don't have that as your settings.
Thanks to Klaus (kjpweb) for allowing me to copy his idea and crop these and put them all in one shot.
Have to rush off for the day, will try to catch up tomorrow.
And, as always, I appreciate very much your views and kind comments! ... Maria

Wow! Such great shots, I would not have guessed you got these "on the fly" as it were! And the presentation is awesome!
