Nice manipulated landscape. Going back to the place of your roots often is a disappointment. From one side you idealize the place, on the other side it's really worse than it was. Maybe a pessimistic statement but in my experience (here in the Netherlands)every change is a step backward.

The memory always seems to hold a dreamier view of the past. What a lovely look back and visual. CC

I love the visual, blurred by time and memory. The words are so tenderly sculpted, I remember places I've never seen and long to see them again! " Hiraedd" what a lovely word. Is it, I wonder the sound of Mother's heartbeat as we lie just beneath her heart, the pulse that's felt throughout our lives? My godson's name is David. I shall call him later today, I miss him as much as you miss Wales. He too has changed, he's a mechanical engineer and out on his own. Aunti Bobbi can't make him laugh with funny faces anymore, and I'm pretty sure Peter Cottontail is no longer his favorite night time read. I'll be mentally holding him on my lap and reading to him anyway. Thanks BJ

Beautiful words yet again Mike and thank you for the information on Saint David. There is a St David's Lodge in Garston Liverpool. It is nice to know the connection. Well done Sir! Steve :o)
