On Jan 6, 2007, I had to put my dear Kira to sleep after nearly 14 years of faithful companionship. I am still having some trouble now and then dealing with the grief. One way of dealing with it for me, is through photography. Kira was the only pet that I have ever had cremated (though I could scarcely afford the cost). Today I was able to find a cheap, yet ornate wooden box in which to keep her cremains. I arrange some photos of her and then took a photo of the arrangement. I got to playing with it and came up with this... which I think was inspired in some way. I did it in about 10 minutes and I just love the results. I hope you all do too. I love my Kira so much... and I miss her so. Thank you all for sharing a bit of my grief and my love... This is a combination of two photos that I took. One of Kira on May 12, 2001, at the Donald E. Lassetter Plaza in St. Louis, MO. The other was taken today of her memorial, here in Cahokia, IL, USA.
