Description

I'm taking a short rest from brightness and colour with this shot of a small carving of Ganesha I brought back from Sri Lanka. Ganesha I am informed is the lord of beginnings and eliminator of obstacles. Many thanks for to those of you who view and/or commented on my last image. Hope you all have a great weekend.

The title really suits the illusion of this image. I like the textures and tones and monochrome suits it perfectly. Well done, Mark!

A bit too dark and a bit to abstract-appearing for me. But its a crisp photo :-)

I like this dark shot, still can make out a carving on a statue highlighted by a dim light!

Beautiful lighting and definition in this photo, Mr S! I don't know about being lord of beginnings and eliminator of obstacles, but in this light Ganesha looks almost like the creature from the movie, ALIEN.
