hi there, this is a waterscape/harbour scene i painted recently, carrying an evening mood. painted in painter - tablet. viewing it from some distance would b cool. no refs used, all from scratch, self-visualised/composed. im here after some gap, my home pc was badly effected, but somewhat fixed now...:). i do hope everyone is doing fine. enjoy...cheers all. waheednasir. www.waheednasir.com P.S. i hope its in the right category.

I like the color pallet that you used and in combination with the long brush stroke patterns make for a dramatic piece with great visual depth. It does not seem like a Nature/Landscape topic to me. But it is a hard choice. Perhaps abstract or mood...?

This leads me in two different directions of interpretation. First, I see the quiet evening, the ships still in the water, except for the rocking motion of the water. I hear the creaking sound of wood expanding and contracting on the the ships. Second, the scene reminds me of ships gathered together in the harbor after a battle, smoke lingers in the sky. Beautiful colors and mood. Love the highlights. Excellent painting, Waheed.
