Description
Hey y'all.
Another pic from Mohonk Mountain House. This one from inside my room just as the sun was setting.
I struggled hard to find the right words for this image. It seemed like it was just asking for them...you know? And after much searching, these were all I could find. :^/
So, if any of you can think of something more suitable, I'd really love to know about it. ( If I keep looking for something better I'll never post again, lol. )
Thanks for looking and for any words of advice or suggestions you may have regarding this image...Till next time...stay well and hope you all have a beautiful week.
Sincerely,
Marlene :^)
PS I wasn't going to allow comments, (because I haven't been around all that much), but then, how would I know your possible suggestions? Sigh. So reluctantly, I am going to keep them open. Please feel free to ignore me...lol... ;^)

Tummarna upp f dig!!! Ha en underbar dag!!! #:o) And now for Systrans own translation: Since you and cards seem to be so saved in Swedish so intended I that I willed take and to type my comment on that language. Fantastic photo Marlene. I see that you have drat the title on the.and although I like the current title so believes I that I liked the old better. More poetic if you so wants to. Blah blah.how as entire pcs.wonderful perperspectiv and light. The landscape outside the window sees also a lot of tempting out. The thumbs up for you!!! Has a wonderful day!!! LMAO!!! Just so you know.... "you and cards..." is suppose to be "you and Kort". Im however impressed that it translated bla bla into blah blah....very impressive indeed. #:oP

I think the photographer, perhaps more than most, develops a keen awareness of the continuity between generations. A good photographer is able to draw back that veil from the viewer's mind's-eye, to share in that awareness... Well done!

Well I wasn't ignoring you - I just didn't see this when it was uploaded. A must to be viewed full size as it has suffered a lot with renderosity compression. The light and detail in the full image are beautiful - excellent image Marlene :)

marlene, even without the text (which is gentle & reflective), the picture is delicate & inward. You have the most beautiful peach-golds here (your painterly sense, to die for) in the clouds & lower sky, in the highlights on the mullions & porch chair, and especially in the right curtain—this is just exquisite color-sense. And the framing in darks, and the soft bluish tints outside are quite beautiful. Your text is even applied with that same gold (gradated through increasingly darker hues), and I think the text is quite evocative, as it evokes the spirit of old lives captured in art (from a pretty good photographer himself!). This is a very sensitive shot, inward & radiant, and a fav. A sweet use of window-reflections too...
