The abras (water taxis) are one of the hidden delights of Dubai. For the princely sum of 1 dirham (the post-Feb 2007 price) - roughly 27 US cents, or 15p Sterling), they'll take you from one side of Dubai Creek to the other - from the textile souq on one side, to the gold souq and the spice souq on the other. This was taken, from a moving abra, with my wife's point-and-click digital camera, which I find myself borrowing more and more these days. There's no post-processing - I haven't even cropped it - but despite the motion blur (cheap photovoltaic cell), there's something about the motion and light in this shot I really like.
