Description
Captured about 7:30 AM on 2/23/07, 1.25 miles from my residence.
This is the third shot in this pigeon series.
Each morning a lady emerges from an Asian Indian temple on the boulevard and throws out breakfast pigeon feed on the ground to the avians hungrily waiting above on the power lines. That is the time for anyone standing below to seek instant cover because of the swooping shower of bodies and wings.
I like this photo better than yesterday's upload because it shows more birds in flight decending upon the feeding frenzy.
Thanks for the visit, and keep your head covered!

A lovely pile of pigeons. I'm sure they leave a bit of a mess behind though... :-) Good shot.

For those that wonder what happens to the pigeon poop after their sumptious meals, there's a ton of it deposted on the adjacent sidewalk under the power lines. So, I never stand or walk under those lines. It's bombs away, baby!
