*** Tribute To The Original Cowboy *** "Aye! Lea' that hat alone! Tha's the third one! Tired o'you chewin' on my hats!"
Well beefcake number #7 is up thanks to the incredible, Members Choice Sale at Daz3d. By Armond finally winning top 10 on the fourth sale, I was motivated towards this render. Although it is done for my beefcake series, I couldn't resist making it a dedication to the original cowboy. From days, years, 150 years ago or more, young and older slave men were given the duty of seeing to livestock. Often ridiculed and harshly labeled, one being, Cow-boy. Despite it, they enjoyed their duties, rounding up the cattle, or bringing in the "cows" - at times playing, they took up a dare and road a bull; bringing in wild ponies they broke them too. It wasn't long before the dare was tossed at their owner's son, who took up the challenge and then challenged one of his friends, and then his friend, and so on, and so on, and so on. Now today, look what has come of it. Yes its true, the face of the cowboy has changed. Yet, who would have thought their moments of play, would come to be such an American traditional event that many long to see? Rodeo's and cowboys! Ah yes, the origins are certainly humble and for the most part unknown - but I'm proud of them just the same. =====================================

Hey, Mercedes. Despite the sad history, I love the sweetness of this image, the faithful dog, the ingratiating horse and the quiet strength and humility of the man. It has a very heartwarming affect. I like the little details, too, like the wheel, the grass, the tree. It's very home on the range. Excellent render. I see it less as beefcake and more as homage. :)

Great scene! I haven't worked with my animals enough yet to pose that nicely, and your textures look very rich! I love my Armond too, I can't wait to get a nice close up shot of him with his georgeous skin tone and detail. As usual, you inspire me! Maeve

Nope, its not just you. I thought the same, had intended to scale him down some because the morph didn't do it. I'm not sure why he seems so large, the Mildog was actually that size... weird. I will have to watch that next time. Thanks, your observation was mine as well!
